Private Yoga in Marin County

Private Yoga:
A Practice Shaped for You

Private yoga offers something truly special: a practice shaped entirely around you. Whether you're new to yoga or deepening years of experience, private sessions provide focused attention, personalized guidance, and meaningful progress at your own pace. Unlike group classes, our time becomes a true dialogue with opportunities for questions, hands-on adjustments, and assisted stretching. Sessions can be ongoing for long-term support in your practice, or limited to a set number of sessions to focus on specific goals like injury recovery or advanced poses. I design each practice to meet you exactly where you are, and private yoga also beautifully serves special occasions like weddings or corporate retreats. One-on-one instruction takes place in my Corte Madera studio, or for larger events I can travel within the Bay Area to you.

  • Personalized instruction tailored to your experience level and specific goals

  • Direct dialogue with opportunities for questions and immediate feedback

  • Hands-on adjustments and assisted stretching for deeper, safer practice

  • Flexible scheduling for ongoing support or focused short-term work

  • Customized sessions for individuals, couples, or special event groups

  • Each session is customized to your overall goals and your energy level that day

  • Practices may blend any yoga modalities I teach, including vinyasa, hatha, slow flow, yin and restorative yoga

  • You are welcome to ask questions and receive personalized feedback throughout the practice

  • I provide hands-on adjustments and assisted stretching to help you deepen poses safely and effectively

Testimonials

At 43, I’ve had ongoing leg muscle issues, but Katherine’s yoga sessions have really helped. She knew exactly how to target the problem areas and guide me through movements that actually made a difference. I’m finally feeling stronger and more balanced.

Katherine

I have participated in yoga sessions while nursing a knee injury and Katherine been very good at providing a pace I can handle and been accommodating to what I can and can't do movement-wise.

Erica

Katherine is a fantastic yoga teacher. I'm not very flexible so I sometimes find yoga difficult/intimidating and Katherine did a great job making me feel welcome and making the class feel accessible.

Zara

Katherine’s yoga class is very unique and special. I have gone to many yoga classes and have only found two instructors, and Katherine is one of them, that I truly enjoy the entire class from beginning to end. She begins with the breathe and setting an intention and ends with a thoughtful quote. She’s one of a kind!
